Our Vision
To be able to remove all microplastics from the oceans is an unrealistic expectation; however, we can prevent microplastics from getting there in the first place.
The methods currently used in waste water treatment, such as activated carbon filters, are not able to reduce the microplastic content of water to a safe level. Therefore, we must start taking action now and use technological advancements to improve our shared future!
Our Mission
Removing some of the microplastics from the water is a significant step toward improving our quality of life and the health of the environment.
The four of us cannot save the oceans alone, but with our diploma thesis, we are taking the first step, and hopefully, we can motivate enough people to do the same. This is our goal of the diploma thesis.
